Family Counseling
Family Counseling is designed to help family members improve communication and resolve conflict. During Family Counseling, you may address specific issues such as marital or financial problems, conflict between parents and children, or the impact of substance abuse or a mental illness on the entire family. The goal of family therapy sessions with Sanders Counseling Associates, LLC, is to teach and equip your family with the skills to deepen connections and get through stressful times, even after you’re done going to therapy sessions.
Group Counseling
Joining a group of strangers may sound intimidating, but group counseling with Sanders Counseling Associates, LLC provides benefits that individual therapy does not. Group Counseling is usually designed to target a specific problem, such as depression, obesity, panic disorder, social anxiety, chronic pain or substance abuse. With SCA, the goal of Group Counseling is to improve social skills, help people deal with a range of issues such as anger, shyness, loneliness and low self-esteem by seeing how other people tackle problems and make positive changes.
Christian Counseling
Psychotherapy, Christian psychology, Bible counseling, and Pastoral counseling are just some of the methods of Christian Counseling that Sanders Counseling Associates provides. Christian Counseling is often sought by those already within the Christian faith hoping to gain further guidance, as well as those searching for a greater understanding of the religion itself. Religion and spirituality are both associated with greater mental and physical well-being. At SCA, we use Christian Counseling to help our clients engage in religious/spiritual practices and seek spiritual advisory for mental health challenges as well as additional life concerns.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (or CBT for short) is a very common form of talk therapy. CBT is one of the most preferred types of psychotherapy because it can quickly help you identify and cope with specific challenges. It generally requires fewer sessions than other types of therapy and is done in a structured way.The goal of Cognitive Behavior Therapy or CBT with Sanders Counseling Associates, LLC is to help you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment for Adolescents (IOP)
A major benefit of Intensive Outpatient Treatment for Adolescents ( IOP) with Sanders Counseling Associates, LLC is that teens will continue to receive access to the support of family members and friends while they address issues like depression, anxiety, self-harm, PTSD, substance abuse and other issues teens frequently become overwhelmed by. This provides them with an opportunity to spend time with family members and friends whose emotional support can be critical during the recovery process. An intensive outpatient program is more cost effective than a traditional inpatient or residential program. As a result, teens receive access to the benefits of expensive inpatient treatments at a cost that is closer to the outpatient world. This can make it easier for many families to afford the treatment that their teen requires in order to set themselves up to recover.
